What is The TTT?
The TTT is a Registered Charity whose aims are to help young people anxious to
make a career with horses.
|
Why was it Founded?
Because so many keen and talented youngsters stopped improving after they obtained
their BHS qualifications and set up in business. The hours were long, money was a struggle,
and there was no other financial help - so we resolved to bring world-famous trainers
to teach them here. All money raised by the Trust is used to subsidise members’
participation in the Trust’s training programme.

|
Has it been worth it?
We think definitely yes. We started in 1987 and now have a full annual
programme of educational training and over 1000 members.
|
How is it funded?
Costs are kept low by all the organisation being done on a voluntary basis,
except for a paid secretary once a week. Funds come in from a variety of sources including
Membership Subscriptions, spectator tickets to all our events including Lecture/
Demonstrations and Gala events, as well as raffles and other special fund-raising
activities. We are always grateful to the efforts of our members to help raise funds.
Gift Aid also allows the Charity to claim back 28% on all donations.
|
What is an Assessment? How do I get one?
All Riding Members are assessed at their first Senior Instructors' Clinic (SIC). It is
a chance for us to get to know you and your horse and visa versa. Simply apply for a place on
an SIC and an assessment form will be sent to you. We will put you on the next
available clinic.
|
When can I ride on an International Clinic?
SIC's are the stepping stones to the International Clinics. Places are awarded to those who
have attended sufficient SIC's that the Trust Instructors and Trustees feel they will benefit
from one or more of our International Instructors. The Trust's training is based on a system
of on-going participation and involvement.
