Long before I found it I had been on a mission, searching for something but not knowing what it was, only knowing when I hadn't found it. I tried many different teachers, trainers and riders, some of them quite well known but none of them producing that elusive 'thing' which I knew would be right when I found it. Not that I was coming from any kind of proficiency, I wasn't, I had none at all; but that was my goal, my mission, I just wanted to ride. But it had to be a special kind of riding, it had to be very good riding, riding that enhanced the horse/rider relationship, the kind of riding that turns men into Centaurs, that horse and rider become each other, that it really does go from a shout to a whisper. It is rare in these days of instant gratification, instant glory and instant achievement to find somewhere that is in it for the duration, somewhere that is devoted to that special kind of riding and that slowly but surely is producing very special riders.

Just to say a huge thank you for my lessons with Charles, as usual they were as brilliant as ever, it is such an inspiration for me. My pupils get the benefit after!

I can't tell you how exciting it is to be part of such a supportive and knowledgeable establishment. I learn a lot each time I come especially from watching the lessons of others.

I remember my first visit to the TTT, to one of Charles' clinics. I remember thinking 'at last...here is somewhere where you can ask questions, be taken seriously and expect a reasoned reply

When I was first involved with TTT, I recall a conversation with Jennifer at breakfast one morning, when she asked me what had attracted me to the Trust; I said that I just knew this was what I wanted my riding to be, that all I had seen before was left leagues behind what I saw and heard here. A few years later she was encouraging me to bring my own horse up and take part in a SIC, she added, did I feel the same way, when I said yes, she replied: 'That's because the right way is unchangeable, once you've found it you know, and then the learning can begin.

Thank you once again for providing an oasis in a comparative desert! TTT is truly unique and a very precious venture.

I just wanted to say thank you to the BHS for organising for the TTT in Surrey to host a CPD day with Charles de Kunffy. It was wonderful to be stretched in terms of my equestrian knowledge, development of my eye and consideration of the theory of what our teaching and riding responsibilities are to our pupils and our horses. Fascinating stuff; thought provoking and thoroughly entertaining.

Thanks to the help and support from the TTT, I passed the ABRS Advanced Teaching Diploma. ....I wanted you to know because without the Trust, you [Alex], Andrew and Jennifer, I would never have achieved this.

Thank you so much for all you do to enable folk like me to benefit from the body of knowledge and camaraderie with the Trust.

Just had to say a huge thank you for the opportunity to attend today’s Trainers’ Day with Charles. So much fantastic information my brain is in overload! Can’t wait to start to try and apply it. What a pleasure to see such great riders and happy horses. Living proof of correct, explained and guided instruction. I feel as one would after finding a much needed oasis!!
